I got to read this book a few weeks back. The editor chose postcards from the turn of the century and asked various graphic artists and writers of create short stories based on the few words written at the back of each postcard. Fiction based on a few sentences of fact. It makes for an interesting exercise in creative writing.

Na bitin lang ako sa buong book. Though the stories and the graphics were all well-made it lacked that x-factor. None of the tales or the visuals moved me to any emotion save the very first and simplest one. There rest were good to read if you have some time to spare at the airport but none good enough to discuss among friends. You know what I mean? Ok lang. If you want to read it borrow a copy of the book or read it at the bookstore while waiting for your screening time at the cinemas. This will not be a jewel in your graphic novel collection. Your money might be better spent on something else. . . But that's just me.
